The collective bargaining for around 850,000 employees in the German construction industry has been postponed without result. The next meeting is scheduled for June 4th. The Central Association of the German Building Industry said that neither side had moved, in terms of their demands.
According to the IG BAU, a trade union, it was not possible to agree on compensation for solutions about the way from construction companies to construction sites. The union demands 6.8 percent higher wages, while employers warned that the construction industry lacked new orders during the Corona pandemic.
