(GermanPolicy.com) – The Federal Cabinet made up of representatives from the SPD, Greens and FDP have decided on surcharges for the needy. For children and young people, 20 Euros more per month should be paid, and adults from families who already receive social benefits such as ALG II should get a one-off subsidy of 100 Euros. A total of 2.9 million people are expected to benefit from the grants. The Bundestag and Bundesrat will have to approve the regulation.
