Linnemann (CDU) proposes time-limited coalition agreement

(de-news.net) – CDU General Secretary Carsten Linnemann has proposed limiting the future government coalition agreement with potential partners to a one-year duration. He outlined his plan, specifying an initial ten major projects should be set for twelve months before reconvening.

Linnemann also advocated for a more action-oriented approach, similar to his election campaign, emphasizing the importance of delivering rather than engaging in excessive discussions. He suggested that this strategy could counter the rise of the AfD. Linnemann urged reflection on the mistakes that may have contributed to the AfD’s growth, noting that the previous government lacked a clear plan, had suffered from significant internal conflicts, which led to an AfD that is twice as strong as it was three years earlier. He suggested that his proposed action-oriented approach might present an opportunity to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
