Maas warns of radicals, Kretschmer criticizes social media

Federal Foreign Minister Maas (SPD) has warned that citizens in Germany should not allow themselves to be captured by radicals at demonstrations. Extremists and anti-Semites took advantage of the protests against the Corona measures measures, in order to split society. Maas said that anyone who shouts out conspiracy theories into the world without hesitating is driven by scorn and selfishness. Instead, democrats should continue to speak respectfully with each other.

Saxon Prime Minister Kretschmer (CDU) has now warned not to take the demonstrators seriously. Kretschmer blamed social media for social division. The Internet reinforces one-sided, radical attitudes, he said.
