Ramelow for local steps against new infections in Thuringia

The state of Thuringia might lift Corona restrictions, under certain conditions, in two weeks, but will take the restrictions back more clearly and quickly if a limit of 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants is reached within a week. Against the advice of many immunologists and epidemiologists, wearing a face mask and the mandatory minimum distance would no longer be mandatory in Thuringia. Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow, of the Left party, wants to present his proposals in the state cabinet on Tuesday.
