The Federal Ministry of Economics will start a funding program with a volume of 2 billion Euros for German startup companies in need. Venture capitalists will help startups through the state funding agency KfW. More than 100 venture capital funds have already been accredited by the KfW, and more have already submitted applications for accreditation, confirmed Thomas Jarzombek, the Federal Ministry of Economics Technology and Startup Representative. The goal is to create a financing perspective. The ministry’s program includes public funds from the Federal Government within the framework of an immediate Corona aid package, but also federal funds from the development banks of the Federal States.
