The Bundeswehr is currently providing assistance against the Corona pandemic with a strength of 11,000 soldiers. Around 3,000 soldiers are deployed in old people’s and nursing homes. In addition, numerous soldiers help the health authorities with vaccinations and with the follow-up of contacts with people who are infected with the Coronavirus.
