(GermanPolicy.com) – Federal Minister of Economics Peter Altmaier (CDU) sees a rapid recovery in the German economy: “We will also see a clear upswing in the next year.” Altmaier added that he expected metrics to be at pre-crisis levels as early as the beginning of 2022. The Federal Government’s aid packages had ensured stability, even though the situation was difficult. Regarding the time after the crisis, Altmaier said: “We have to accelerate our planning and approval processes, digitize the administration and the entire country more quickly, and strengthen our competitiveness sustainably.”
