Greens want to compensate for climate neutrality in a socially acceptable way

(GermanPolicy.com) – At an extraordinary party congress, the Green party executive wants to pass a key motion that includes socially acceptable climate neutrality. The so-called “social pact” is intended to cushion social hardship and create new jobs. For example, employees are to be given a legal right to further training, and short-time working benefits are to be introduced for employees doing a qualification. In this way, unemployment insurance is to become an employment insurance that prevents being laid off.

Companies should be able to write off climate-friendly investments more quickly. However, landlords should bear the CO2 price for heating. After all, a state program with a volume of 500 billion Euros should allow for additional investments in climate neutrality, digitization and infrastructure.
