Merkel satisfied with G20 agreement on minimum taxation

(GermanPolicy.com) – Chancellor Angela Merkel has expressed her satisfaction with the agreement on minimum taxation for large companies which has been reached at the G20 summit in Rome. The agreement is a clear “signal of fairness in the age of digitization,” said Merkel. With regard to the minimum taxation, a tax of 15 percent is planned for large corporations, regardless of where a company is headquartered. The home country of a corporation can in future demand the tax difference if a subsidiary company pays less taxes in another country.
