Medical associations for a more comprehensive mask requirement

(GermanPolicy.com) – In view of the high number of Covid cases and a high death toll, representatives of medical associations have demanded that the mask requirement be kept in public indoor areas from 20 March, when the current Infection Protection Act will have expired. The President of the German Interdisciplinary Association, Marx, and the Deputy Chairman of the Federal Association of Physicians in the Public Health Service, Bruns-Philipps, made such statements. “Wearing masks is a proven and simple protective measure. It would be a mistake to give up this means without need,” Marx said.

According to a draft law by the Federal Government, which is to be passed at the end of next week, the mask requirement will only apply to nursing homes, clinics and public transport in the near future.
