(GermanPolicy.com) – The German Nursing Employers’ Association has demanded that the Federal Government quickly implement the announced nursing bonus and the tax exemption for services at night and on public holidays. It is still unclear when the nursing bonus will benefit nursing staff. These have had a particularly difficult time in the past two years of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Federal Health Minister Lauterbach said a draft will soon be presented. The situation for caregivers should be improved, overall. One million euros is planned for the care bonus, but according to a draft, the payment should not begin until 30 June.
