Lauterbach (SPD) and Dürr (FDP) for using the hotspot rule

(GermanPolicy.com) – Federal Health Minister Lauterbach (SPD) has called on the state governments to resort to the possible regulation with regard to hotspots if the health system in the respective Federal States is overloaded. “The slogan of the hour must be that we use the rules that we have and not complain about a rule that is no longer legally available,” Lauterbach encouraged. National, homogenous regulations are no longer legally possible. However, the Federal States can order stricter measures in hotspots than the obligation to wear masks and tests. A general retention of the mask requirement, as proposed by Bavaria, is not legally feasible, as there is no longer a nationwide risk. FDP parliamentary group leader Dürr also called on the Federal States to use the hotspot regulation.
