Federal States take part in Germany Pact

(DE-News.net) – At a conference that will be held in the city of Wilhelmshafen, the German Federal States want to talk to the Federal Chancellery about the Germany Pact for a modernization that is supposed to be effective in many respects, which the Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) recently proposed. As a spokeswoman for the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony Stephan Weil (SPD) pointed out, all questions on the table would be discussed during the conference.

The topics discussed are those that were brought into play by the traffic light coalition as well as those that the Federal States have expressed. Scholz particularly mentioned the following points: acceleration of approval processes, digitalization of administration and support for companies.

After consultations between the Federal Chancellery, the State Chancelleries and the Senate Chancelleries, a decision on practical legislative and regulatory measures will reportedly be made. According to an online report, the country leaders would like to convene a Prime Minister’s Conference as soon as possible to resolve open questions about the planning and approval processes.
