Lindh (SPD) against new deportation laws

(de-news.net) – Voices in the SPD rejects CDU General Secretary Carsten Linnemann’s proposal for stricter deportation laws, calling it populist and ineffective. SPD politician Helge Lindh argues that the focus should be on enforcing existing laws rather than creating new ones, as over 60% of deportation attempts fail. He accuses Linnemann of trying to gain votes by linking foreigners with crime.

Pro Asyl also criticizes Linnemann’s demands, labeling them as populist and legally unsound. Wiebke Judith from Pro Asyl states that such demands may look good on campaign posters but do not hold up legally, especially when deportations to countries with torture or inhumane conditions are involved.
