Vote on the Union parties’ influx limitation law this week

(de-news.net) – The CDU/CSU faction in the Bundestag has decided on Monday afternoon to place a bill to “limit the illegal influx of third-country nationals to Germany” on the parliamentary agenda for Friday. Initial considerations to introduce a bill on border rejections this week will not be pursued. Legal policy spokesman Günter Krings (CDU) explained that rejections are purely an executive decision. Union candidate Friedrich Merz (CDU) declared that he would order such rejections on the first day of his administration as Chancellor. Krings emphasized that the focus is solely on the influx limitation law, which has already been completed in the Interior Committee and has a recommendation for approval. The bill will be brought to the plenary for a normal voting procedure, Krings added.
