Business associations demand relief

(de-news.net) – More than 65 business associations have called on the party leadership of CDU, CSU, and SPD to revise the economic policy agreements reached in the coalition talks and to provide significant relief to companies. In a letter, the associations warn of Germany’s further economic decline and call for comprehensive tax cuts, lower social security contributions, and the reduction of bureaucratic hurdles.

The employers’ association Gesamtmetall emphasizes that a growth-oriented policy is necessary to prevent the economic crisis from worsening. Die Familienunternehmer also criticize rising national debt and call for a fundamental reorganization of Germany as a business location. The associations urge political decision-makers to take responsibility for strengthening Germany’s economy, on which depend key social areas such as security, environmental and climate protection, and social peace.
