German Chamber of Industry and Commerce advocates for structural reforms

(de-news.net) – The Federal Government has been encouraged by business organizations to focus structural reforms in addition to greater investment. The CEO of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Helena Melnikov, stressed the need of strategically, effectively, and growth-oriented allocation of infrastructure fund resources. She said that the only way to generate economic momentum and handle future debt commitments sustainably would be to make sensible use of extra spending backed by structural changes. Melnikov promoted a bold reform program that included significant reductions in bureaucratic obstacles, efficient solutions to solve workforce shortages, and accelerated planning, approval, and procurement procedures. She maintained that improving Germany’s investment climate for private businesses is equally important in order to attract investment. “The moment has come to set up Germany for a robust economy,” she concluded.
