Increase of deportations recorded

(de-news.net) – The number of deportations from Germany has shown a marked increase. According to data provided by the Federal Ministry of the Interior, more than 11,800 individuals were deported during the first six months of 2025. This figure represents a significant rise compared to the same period in 2024, when approximately 9,500 deportations were recorded.

In response to ongoing challenges in migration management, Federal Minister of the Interior Alexander Dobrindt recently convened with his ministerial counterparts from Austria, Denmark, France, the Czech Republic, and Poland. The purpose of the multilateral dialogue was to promote a coordinated and more rigorous stance on migration and asylum policies across participating member states. The joint declaration released following deliberations emphasized that the implementation of effective and reliable repatriation procedures is a critical foundation for sustaining public trust in a well-balanced and coherent European approach to migration governance.
