Andreas Kalbitz, who had previously served as AfD leader in Brandenburg, may continue to be a member of the AfD parliamentary group in the state. During a special session, 18 out of 21 AfD deputies were in favor, two were opposed, with one abstention. Kalbitz is no longer a member of the AfD after an uproar about his connections to the far-right.
