Opponents of the protective measures against the Corona pandemic came to protest for the second week, this Saturday and Sunday, in several German cities. Due to bad weather conditions, fewer people came than the organizers had announced. For the most part, the demonstrations were peaceful.
Many of the rallies did not draw people in Stuttgart. The AfD was allowed to protest in Stuttgart on Sunday, despite of this having been prohibited previously.
In Bavaria, many events were ended prematurely by the organizers, due to the rain. There was some wrangling in Berlin, after which the police had to take measured action. In North Rhine-Westphalia, critics of the protective measures also took to the streets in some cities, but less than expected. In Hamburg, several participants wore no mouth-nose protection and were warned. An unauthorized demonstration was dissolved, but the situation was generally calm.
In Hesse, a demonstration in Frankfurt counted several hundred participants, and in Hanover, Bremen, as well as in Erfurt, the protests were attended by few people.
