Coronavirus: general medical practitioners should also be allowed to vaccinate

According to a paper by the Federal Ministry of Health, general practitioners are to be included in the vaccinations against the Coronavirus from the second half of March. This makes it necessary to change the vaccination ordinance at federal level. From April it will be possible to administer a higher number of vaccination doses by instances other than the vaccination centers, which face an overload.

According to a survey by the KekstCNC institute, 73 percent of citizens in Germany are in favor of receiving vaccination. The doctors should be allowed to change the order of those to be vaccinated, with a view to more flexibility, at their discretion – “according to the respective medical assessments on site”, the paper by the health department adds.
