In a video conference of the European Union, the Foreign and Interior Ministers of the member states met this week to decide how to improve cooperation with third countries. Specifically, the talks were about the questions of migration and of refugees. The EU wants to use financial resources in economic aid as well as bestowing visas, with a view on regular migration, as an incentive. In addition, the EU would like to support African countries in securing their borders. The policies agreed upon by the ministers could also make it easier for rejected asylum seekers to be deported to their countries of origin, in the future.
