(GermanPolicy.com) – The 326 district chairmen and 27 regional chairmen of the CDU have voted, by a large majority, in favor of a member survey to be held regarding the party chairmanship of the Christian Democrats. In terms of the participation, the approximately 400,000 members of the CDU are to vote on Armin Laschet’s successor. During a special party conference in early 2022, the CDU presidium and federal board are to elect the CDU chairs.
