(GermanPolicy.com) – According to the Federal Ministry of Finance’s tax estimate, the three traffic light parties, namely the SPD, the Greens, and the FDP, can expect 71.7 billion Euros more tax revenues from 2021 to 2025. If the municipalities are included, an additional revenue of 179 billion Euros could even be recorded. For 2021 alone, according to the tax estimates, the plus amounts to 11.7 billion Euros for the Federal Government, 22.5 billion Euros for the Federal States and 8.1 billion Euros for the municipalities.
The designated new Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) announced investments in digitization, research and climate protection. Meanwhile, the Federal Court of Auditors warned that there should be stronger prioritization with regard to the pronounced Covid-19 debt.
