Federal Cabinet decides on second relief package

(GermanPolicy.com) – On Wednesday, the Federal Government decided on a relief package worth several billion Euros. The energy tax on fuel is to be reduced for three months, taxpayers are to receive a one-time lump sum of 300 Euros before taxes, child benefit is to be increased by 100 Euros per child, recipients of social benefits are to receive a one-time payment of 200 Euros instead of 100 Euros, and for three months, a monthly ticket for 9 euros per person should be available in public transport. However, the latter project could still be stopped for reasons of financing. The package is to be carried by a supplementary budget.
