(GermanPolicy.com) – The German Bundestag has passed the budget for the current year, with a borrowing of almost 139 billion Euros. The special editions total almost 100 billion Euros. In order to allow for the budget, the debt brake, enshrined in the Basic Law, was again suspended. The brake is to be complied with, again, from 2023. The loan amount is the second highest sum in the history of Germany. The CDU-CSU parliamentary group criticized the government for wasting too much money, for setting no priorities, and said the cabinet had no plans for effective cuts.
