Scholz holds no resentment against the FDP

(de-news.net) – Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) remains open to forming another coalition with the FDP following the Bundestag elections, according to a media report, despite the previous failure of the traffic light coalition. Scholz articulated that he has “nothing in general” against the FDP and underscored the importance of democracy, where citizens make decisions and politicians must deal with the outcomes. He emphasized, “The great thing about democracy is democracy itself.”

Scholz did not categorically exclude the possibility of a coalition with the BSW but expressed skepticism regarding an alliance with a party seeking closer ties with Russia and intending to abandon Ukraine. He firmly stated there would be no cooperation with the AfD. Furthermore, Scholz affirmed that his next cabinet would again be gender-balanced.
