(de-news.net) – According to Thorsten Frei, who serves as the Parliamentary Secretary of the CDU/CSU faction in the Bundestag, the forthcoming coalition government comprising the two Union parties and SPD intends to implement four key initiatives by the parliamentary summer recess. A primary focus will be the adoption of federal budgets for the years 2025 and 2026. Additionally, economic relief measures are planned, including a 30 percent declining depreciation on equipment investments from 2025 to the fiscal year 2027, alongside the repeal of the German Supply Chain Act.
Further measures involve the reorientation of migration policies. In the future, asylum applications are to be rejected at the EU’s external borders. Moreover, for two years, the CDU plans to suspend family reunification for refugees with subsidiary protection.
Finally, the Building Energy Act, according to Frei, is to be amended to be more technology-neutral, flexible, and straightforward. The requirement for new heating systems to operate with 65 percent renewable energy is to be abolished, enabling the use of conventional heating systems once again.
