Corona crisis: Germany and France propose an EU program

Germany and France have proposed an EU program with a volume of EUR 500 billion. The economic effects of the Corona crisis are to be managed, in the framework of such a program, through loans that the EU Commission could take on the financial markets. The funds would later be reimbursed from the budgets of the EU countries, both countries propose. All 27 EU member countries must first approve the program unanimously.
