(GermanPolicy.com) – The Greens co-chairman Habeck is apparently playing with the idea of retiring from his party office. According to an internal rule of the Greens only two out of six federal board members are allowed to hold seats in the Bundestag. In January a new federal board will be elected by a party convention. Then, at least three members of the Bundestag must leave the Greens’ executive committee.
Habeck would like to take a ministerial post in the new government. “Being a party chairman as a minister is incompatible with our party culture,” emphasized the politician.
