Social democratic women for a female SPD general secretary

(GermanPolicy.com) – The Working Group of Social Democratic Women – an official party branch of the SPD – calls for a woman to be elected to the post of general secretary if the incumbent, Lars Klingbeil, should run for co-chair of the SPD. Parity starts at the top, according to the chairwoman of the social democratic women. She favored a dual leadership consisting of the previous co-chair, Saskia Esken, and Klingbeil. The SPD leadership is to be elected at a party congress from 10 to 12 December.
