FDP against European tax proposal of the SPD candidate for Chancellor

(GermanPolicy.com) – FDP federal chairman Christian Lindner has criticized SPD candidate for chancellor Olaf Scholz for the proposal of taxes at EU level. “One shouldn’t introduce taxes at European level because people at the ballot box couldn’t defend themselves against financial overload,” said Lindner, according to media reports. In addition, the European unemployment insurance planned by the SPD is a step that he sees critically: “The FDP wants … to hold on to the financial responsibility of the EU states.” Otherwise, the people in Germany would pay for wrong economic policies in other countries.
