Nahles to become chairwoman of the Federal Employment Agency

(GermanPolicy.com) – Ex-SPD chairwoman Andrea Nahles has been elected chairwoman of the Federal Employment Agency, according to the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations and the German Confederation of Trade Unions. In addition, Katrin Krömer and Vanessa Ahuja should sit on board chairs. The Federal Government and the board of directors of the federal agency still have to approve the election. Nahles, who is currently President of the Federal Agency for Posts and Telecommunications, was Federal Minister of Labor and Social Affairs from 2013 to 2017. The proposing associations said they wanted to react to extraordinary challenges with the nomination of Nahles.
