(de-news.net) – The Greens have proposed a ten-point plan to address the migration crisis and enhance internal security. Green Chancellor candidate Robert Habeck emphasized the need for a comprehensive security offensive in Germany, citing recent violent incidents. The measures include a focus on Islamists and other extremists, early detection of threats, and mandatory cooperation between federal and state authorities. He stressed the importance of enhancing security for all residents, irrespective of their migration background. He highlighted that over 170,000 arrest warrants, including more than 14,000 related to violent crimes, have not been executed in Germany. Habeck also expressed willingness to collaborate with CDU Chancellor candidate Friedrich Merz, stressing that a security offensive should be negotiated among democrats.
