Caritas President: vaccination compulsory from the age of five or 50

(GermanPolicy.com) – The President of Caritas sees a vaccination requirement for residents over the age of 18 as insufficiently justified. The vaccination approval applies to people from the age of five, said Welskop-Deffaa. However, one could also assume the risk to groups, in which case compulsory vaccination for people over the age of 50 should be introduced.
The Bundestag debated, for three hours, on Wednesday how a general vaccination requirement to slow down the corona pandemic could best be implemented. Three group applications are being prepared in this regard: compulsory vaccination from the age of 18, one from the age of 50, or the retention of the current legal situation. According to a previous statement by Tino Sorge, the spokesman for health policy for the Union faction, the faction of the CDU and CSU will submit a draft of its own.
